Thurlestone GC | Devon

EDI commissioned by Thurlestone Golf Club to look at the safety of their elevated 18th hole and the relationship to the adjacent neighbours  boundary along its length.

The dramatic course at Thurlestone Golf Club runs along the clifftops in an ‘area of outstanding natural beauty’ in the south west of England. The course has a rich design history, which includes a remodelling by Harry Colt in 1928. EDI completed a safety audit for the club, focusing on the 18th hole, which has out of bounds along the left hand side and a public footpath crossing the fairway in the approach area to the green. The club is also working with ADI on a new academy design.

STATUS:  Phase I Hole Safety Audit Complete & Phase II design recommendations submitted.
